The Tatung project was first thought of in mid 2000. In the initial plans, based on the Soviet KIEV/MINSK class,
this ship would have triple screws and a bow thruster. The bottom, foreship and aft would be modeled using
bread and butter method while mid-ship would be constructed in the same way as Emilianova;
framework and quite light matherials. The total lenght would be around 1.5 metres.
The only thing preventing the start of the construction work is the fact that this ship would be so extremely expensive, with all balsa needed and machinery and so on :( The first name thought of was "TATUNG", but later I found the "DRUSHBA NARODOV" so extremely cool...that I can't really choose... For those not familiar with russian, "DRUSHBA NARODOV" means "FRIENDSHIP OF PEOPLES". And, as usual this ship is dedicated to another love of mine...but her name was impossible to convert to a ship name, so the "DRUSHBA NARODOV" would serve as substitute. (Period.)
